Integrating jQuery FullCalendar into APEX

Although APEX calendars were updated in APEX 4.0, there are still a number of features missing. The ability to create events that span multiple days and the ability to easily create over hints for events are two of the most common requests we've heard. In fact we ourselves were in search of something that would provide more robust calendar functionality in APEX. After some searching we came across FullCalendar.

FullCalendar is a jQuery Based library that generates a calendar with a robust set of features, including support for multi-day events. After implementing this library manually into the Enkitec.com web site, we decided that it would make a very useful plugin.

This implementation of FullCalendar as an APEX plugin provides a simple way to integrate more robust calendar features into APEX.

$.cookie is not a function -- DEV only
by Andrew Magee
on July 7, 2015
When using the Enkitec FullCalendar Plug-in with APEX, we are coming across an "Uncaught TypeError" in development "$.cookie is not a function".
There are no issues that occur with the exact same application in QA or Production. The application was cloned from production to development and the error is still coming up. This causes the calendar to not display.

Would you know how to fix this?
