A feature packed, muli-column LOV item plug-in

Popup LOVs are an important tool in many web applications today. APEX includes a Popup LOV item type, so why the need for Modal LOV? On the surface the Modal LOV item plug-in is similar to the native Popup LOV item in APEX with two key differences:
  • Modal LOV allows for multiple columns to be displayed.
  • Modal LOV displays data as a modal window using JavaScript.

But Modal LOV has many more features that make its use more attractive. Here are some of the more popular features:
  • Configurable column and row level searching
  • Configurable column level sorting
  • Messages attribute for easy translations
  • Additional column value to item mappings
  • Can be made enterable (restricted to LOV or not)
  • Can validate selected value against LOV
  • Includes 5 jQuery UI themes

Keywords
modal,super,lov,list,values,dialog,search,sort,filter

Hi,

I am using two different items with same plug-in. Second item values depend on first item values.

But when I am selecting first value then in second item value is not getting populate.

But Second item values are getting populate when application is in edit mode based on first item value.

LOV SQL with item in WHERE clause
by Arman

What is the proper way to have the LOV filter data based on another item on page. I have a item dropdown that I use to add a WHERE clause to the plugin LOV SQL. However, whenever I add the where clause the LOV shows no results or the wrong results.

dropdown: :P2_MEMBER_ID
LOV: SQL has WHERE member_id=:P2_MEMBER_ID

It appears that the LOV results are not applying the WHERE clause because the search results have either no results or return results for other member_id's.
